[quit school?]
its been a good 2 days break, but it doesn't remove the fact that i have to go back to face the real world.
the idea just came to me, that maybe i should break my bond and quit school. sounds absurd, unrealistic perhaps, but it doesnt make sense to me to go through something that i dont really want to and that's making me unhappy. but why not take the unconventional route? it doesnt mean that giving up a university education will eliminate all chances of me leading a comfortable and happy life in future. im thinking of maybe culinary school. wonder how much that will cost me. i'll have to pay back STB, perhaps about $15 000? i dont know why so much, but yeah. i'd have to work too, so that I can earn my own allowance. don't wanna have to depend on my parents. it seems enticing enough. i don't think i really matter where i am now.
a friend of mine did pretty well in the A's, but decided to do a gap year and study hairdressing, cos she was really interested in that. i really admire her for her courage to break away from the normal route. can i do that too? i wonder if i'll regret it in future. maybe i wont be able to secure a good paying job. but if u go by the statistics, alot of people who have made it big on their own didnt have a university education. being an entrepreneur is way more enticing to me than slogging for some big boss. and besides, i know what will make me happy, and what it is certainly isnt a huge fat paycheck.
i haven't given it enough thought, and i don't have the courage to do it as yet. advice?
